Madan Mohan celebrted his 85th birth anniversary Thursday, Kohli unveiled a collection of 15 unreleased songs by the composer from his shelved films between 1964 and 1972.
In his composing career of 25 years, he created music for over 100 films. Sanjeev Kohli the legendary songs composer son of Madan Mohan who was the creater of most memorable Hindi film songs like “Aap ki nazron ne samjha”, “Dil dhundta” and “Lag jaa gale”, Sanjeev is looking very nervous these days due to his fathers songs are very popular but did’nt get any award any time, where lakhs of poeople have been appreciated for long tirty years have finally recieved his first popular award – the IIFA for ‘Veer Zaara’ in 2004.The music director’s works were included in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer’s soundtrack and most of the songs became chartbusters.
Madan Mohan worked some films with Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand but he did’nt get the chance to do with Dilip Kumar, but he has give his talent to many films which are some of them went floped but the songs remained very popular.Kohli is very smart guy that he has saved his fathers tunes that he had hummed while composing and kept aside for future use. Madan Mohan has treated his children as more than a friend then a child.
