Shah Rukh Khan has been received a honorary doctorate in arts and culture by University of Bedfordshire presented by Ashraf Jawaid on July 10th the ceremony was held in London at the Hotel Courthouse.
The University of Bedfordshire Deputy Vice Chancellor Ashraf Jawaid was honoured Shah Rukh Khan for his contribution to the arts, as an actor, culture and media which is recognised around the world.
Shah Rukh Khan last year December, the Bollywood actor, received the state award conferring the ‘Datuk’ title from Malaysia’s Malacca governor.Doctor Khan would visit the University soon and invited him to open the new state-of-the art student centre in Luton next year.
According to Secretary Routes 2 Roots Rakesh Gupta he was nominated Shah Rukh Khan for this honour because he is not only an entertainer and the King of the Indian film industry but he is also a philanthropist who has been silently working for the betterment of the underprivileged.
