Mona Wasu is winner of reality show Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao. Mona Wasu has won the reality show Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao in the grand finale on Friday. Mona Wasu defeated other finalists, TV actor Chetan Hansraj and pop singer Anaida, by a narrow margin of SMS votes. Mona Wasu won the prize money of Rs 1 crore and the title of Queen of the Jungle.

Mona Wasu (24) is a television star known for her roles in soaps such as Miilee and Radha Ki Betiyan Kuch Kar Dikheyngi. Mona Wasu victory came as surprise to many because many people felt that it would be difficult for a female contestant to match the stamina of her male while performing the difficult tasks in jungle.

Mona was the only female contestant to have won 10 out of 10 stars in jungle challenge tasks which she achieved by putting her head in 10 different glass chambers full of insects, scorpions, snakes and rats for a stipulated time period. In the Maha Challenge on Friday night’s concluding episode, the three finalists had to eat crawling insects, drink a juice made of eggs of fish and finally spend some time while taking a ‘bath’ in a jacuzzi full of slimy water with insects and scorpions.

Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao is the Indian version of the popular British reality show, I am a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!
