Plot
Pazhassi Raja movie is a historical subject. The movie is all about a King Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja who belong to Kottayam royal family, revolt against the Britishers. The title role of the raja (Mammootty) who pointed out that apart from being a historical; the movie will also show the emotional and sentimental aspects of the raja who has forced to throw away his throne, palace and also his unborn child amidst his fight the Britishers.

This period film is said to be the costliest movie ever made in Malayalam. The Rs 27 crore film is the costliest Malayalam movie to be made in India.It took two-and-a-half years of shooting in thick forests.
