Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya is a 2010 romantic Tamil film directed and written by Gautham Menon. VTV starring Simbhu and Trisha in the lead roles. The film’s story was also simultaneously shot and released by Menon in the Telugu language as Em Maya Chesavo, stars Naga Chaitanya, Samantha. vinnaithaandi varuvaayaa film explores the complicated relationship between a Hindu Tamil assistant director, Karthik, and a Syrian Christian girl, Jessie. Ye Maaya Chesave or YMC also starts with the same story, in fact both the filmsare directed by Gautham Menon. In both the films these actor make a tentative arrangement to be just friends, but a train journey shows them that cannot happen. Finally, Jessie tells him flatly that she’s going to get married, and nothing can stop the wedding. But the major Differet Climax is that Ye Maya Chesave, ends on a happy note while the Tamil version has a surprise ending with some twist and turns. In vinaithandi varuvaya Karthik gets to know that Jessie got married and is settled in USA. Karthik makes a script about his own story and he starts filming it.

During shooting in US he meets up with Jessie again and there the climax begins.

He offers to drive the antique Chevy across the desert to the sea, where it has been sold to a local museum. As he sets off across the harsh terrain of desert India, he discovers he’s not merely transporting a battered vehicle but an old touring cinema.Along the way, Vishnu reluctantly picks up a young runaway (Mohammed Faizal Usmani), a wandering old entertainer (Satish Kaushik) and a striking gypsy woman (Tannishtha Chatterjee). Together they roam in the barren land, searching for water and an elusive fair. The journey turns dire when they are waylaid by corrupt cops and a notorious water lord.The key to their freedom is the eccentric collection of films and the two forty-year-old film projectors in the back of the truck.
