Cannes film festival or Festival de Cannes 2010 – Several celebrities attended the Red Carpet ceremony to mark the opening of the 63 Canes FilmFestival. They included Aishwarya Rai, Actors Abhishek Bachchan, Vikram and Shekhar Kapur. Buzz is that the Bollywood diva will walk down the red carpet at the 63rd annual Cannes Film Festival. Ashwarya has been a permanent Canes attendee for many years, since her movie, Devdas screened at the Festival in 2002. The CannesFilmFestival is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious film festivals. The private festival is held annually (usually in May) at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, in the resort town of Cannes, in the south of France.The 63rd edition takes place from 12 May to 23 May 2010. The President of the Jury is to be American film director Tim Burton.
