‘Shiv Sena warns radio FM channels in Mumbai to play Marathi songs.’
Shiv Sena’s party workers of made an issue outside the offices of FM Radio channels Red FM and Radio Mirchi in Mumbai. ShivSena Sainiks demanded the FM channels to adhere to the dictates of its ShivSena chief Bal Thackeray and play Marathi songs.
Red FM channel has agreed to play “Marathi songs” but has took time to play, as its main office is located in Chennai. However, Radio Mirchi has finally agreed to start playing Marathi songs in its channel very soon. Earlier,The Shiv Sena party chief Balasaheb Thackeray asked private FM channels on Saturday to play Marathi songs in a weekâ€™s time or to face consequences.
The Sena chief Tackray had released his statement after a group of Marathi musicians approached Takray, droping a complaint that some private FM channels had refused to play Marathi songs.
