Rajinikanth Endhiran starrer meets Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray.

After meeting Bal Thakre, Rajinikanth said: “He is like God to me.”The actor, who has his roots in Maharashtra, also expressed the desire to act in Marathi films. Rajinikanth met Mr. Thackeray’s residence at ‘Matoshree’ in suburban Bandra and sought the Sena chief’s blessings. Rajinikanth, who was born Shivaji Rao Gaekwad in a Maharashtrian family, said he always wanted to meet Mr. Balasaheb when in Mumbai. Rajinikanth’s latest movie Enthiran is a 2010 Tamil science fiction film co-written and directed by S. Shankar.

The film features Rajinikanth in dual roles, as a science professor and a superintelligent android robot. Aishwarya Rai and Danny Denzongpa play other lead roles while Santhanam, Karunas, Kalabhavan Mani, Devadarshini, and Cochin Haneefa play supporting roles.

Upon release, it also made the largest worldwide opening for a Tamil film. The film’s background score and soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman, which released as an album on 31 July 2010. Cinematography was handled by R. Rathnavelu.
