The combination worked together in the successful films Thommanum Makkalum, Mayavi and Chattambi Nadu. James Albert, who has penned the scripts for movies like as Classmates, Cycle and Ividam Swargamanu, is the scenarist. The heroine is Kavya Madhavan, who was the child artiste in Mammootty’s Azhakiya Ravanan in 1996 — and now she playing as heroine.
“Venicile Vyapari” (Merchant of Venice) film narrates the story of a merchant based in Alappuzha, a town in Kerala popularily known as the Venice of the East. The story is set in the 1980s and is a murder mystery. Pavithran played by Mammootty was once a police constable, who turns a businessman in the coir trade. Ammu played by Kavya is the leader of the coir workers and the love lady in the film.
