Vedi (Firecracker) is a Tamil-language action film directed by Prabhu Deva featuring Vishal and Sameera Reddy in the lead roles. The film is a remake of the successful 2008 Telugu film Souryam, and is released on 30th September 2011.
Review
Tamil actor Vishal has delivered a cracking performance with charming ease as his fighting scenes looked goosebump and dancing skills to his best.Vishal who dis typical two eye engaged role in Avan Ivan, seems to have come out of the mode to the perfect one. His aggressive expressions and his tough imperious young man’s portrayal suited him very well. Sameera Reddy is looked hot and Impressive, she has delivered more than what can an actress deliver as her come back film. She is equally well played besides Vishal. She shakes her sensuous long legs, which looked steamy for the songs. Poonam Kaur did well to her short role as well. Watch out for some fascinating short key roles played by the rest of the stars in the film. Music scored by Vijay Antony is the of the biggest of the highlights and songs like Icchu and Eppadi mazhai are fine enough to draw the audience. Cinematography by R D Rajasekhar is other fabulous of the best. Veteran Prabhudeva has well executed the film in an interesting manner and there are no dum lights. This flick is a Tamil remake of the Telugu average hit (Sowriyam), but in this Tamil version the movie is fine enough to enjoy, as threre there are brillinat changes in the script to match up Tamil audience. However it winds up as anexpected mass masala action film.

Storyline
The movie starts off with flying start on an fascinating point in a blissful manner with a lovely song featuring music composer Devi Sri prasad. The first haf make of the movie features Prabhakaran played by Vishal being eyed by baddies. He ran away to Kolkata and looks out for an admission to a college. There he finds Deepa played by Poonam Kaur and begs her for a accomadtion to stay. Moving futher into the plot, Vijay runs into Paro played by Sameera Reddy and her cute gang of friends who rag all boys in the college. But Prabhakaran drops as an outsmart for them. Later on Paro comes to know the flip side of Prabhakaran. As usually expected she falls for him. On the other side, Divya is frequently troubled by some tough villains and Prabhakaran saves her away. A flashback unwraps the job Prabhakaran is up to and he is on a mission. A sibling story unwrapped as a backdrop.
