Ishaqzaade 2012 Bollywood Hinid film review starring Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra.
Ishaqzaade movie Review
Ishaqzaade is directed by Habib Faisal features a fictitious place called Almor (a small town in Uttar Pradesh) This is the place where gunshots are heard more than music, and the place and the politics that crushes the society plays a key part of the story line.
This flick Ishaqzaade captures a beautiful love story of tow hot headed in a small town of north part India where the Muslim girl is pampered to a such where she can go to roam as a hobby that two with out any restrictions including sans purdah but is not permitted to get enter wedlock with a Hindu boy who is a political rival’s grandson.
The girl if would want to get tie the knot with non-Muslim, only after she convert him to her own religion. The plot is very speedy as it takes no time for establishing the love story, since the entry from hate to love for the lead actors comes in no time, surprises the viewer how can one who hates the person can fall in love in quickly with the same person. The film is very gripping in the first half and the key twist right pops out just before the interval is truly shocking. Post break, the film loses its pace and the predictability moves pretty slowly in by the end of it.
Debutant Arjun Kapoor, Parma plays a rustic guy and delivers a charming performance. But, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl one of the lead actors Parineeti Chopra is clearly steals the show. The actress delivers sparkling moves opposite to the lead actor as the aggressive yet very lovely at heart Zoya. Her charming yet bubbly electric screen presence enthralls you to just look at her throughout. Some scenes at the start of the film are simply are wonderful to watch because of her typical expressions and body language.
She is simply superb in the story where she is shocked at her family’s cheat play on her but proud of being in love with the Parma. Music by Amit Trivedi is fine. The title track, sung in a melodious way by Javed Ali and Shreya Ghoshal, is shot astonishing. Gauhar Khan as good at heart but prostitute Chand sizzles in two songs buts gets less scope in the film. In Ishaqzade, Habib Faisal beautifully captures small town in northern India. Ishaqzaade is a passionate love story.
The sudden twist makes the audience engaged to the screen. The cinematography department work in the film is very fine. Parineeti Chopra is to be given special mention for her energetic acting. Arjun Kapoor is OK. Though the second half looks a bit dragged and have have few dull moments.
All in all, refreshingly entertaining.
Rating: Good – 3.5/5
