In my opinion, people in olden days created this festival so that once sister is married and goes to her husband’s place, the brother should go there and get Rakhi tied. He will get to know the sisters welfare. This is a very beautiful festival. Brothers and sisters should celebrate it with joy. Love should get more focus than gifts which brother normally gives to his sister. This year, I will go to my sister’s place to celebrate Raksha Bandhan.”
