English Vinglish featuring Sridevi who is returning after 14 years. The film is directed by Gauri Shinde & produced by R.Balki. English Vinglish is a tri-lingual movie shot in three languages i.e. Hindi, Tamil & Telugu & is all set for an October release. It is also heard that Tamil actor Ajith does a special appearance in ‘English Vinglish’, Sridevi will be seen portraying the character named Shashi, a housewife who enrolls for an English course post her family makes fun of her.
Tamil actor Ajith has done a cameo for the Tamil version of English Vinglish. The same role has been done by veteran actor Amitabh for the Hindi film.
