Heroine review – Madhur Bhandarkar releases his 2012 Bollywood Hindi movie Heroine starring one and only one Kareena Kapoor.
Heroine movie review
Mr Marvelous Madhur Bhandarkar who delivered some stunning flicks is now emerged with yet another film which turns out to be the most eagerly awaited film of the year. Heroine flick is based on the life and times of a star heroine from ‘Bollywood’ and tells the story of the reality behind the world of glitz and glamour that our film stars inhabit.
Madhur hits his new flick starring Heroine to the screens starring Bollywood’s one of the best heroines, Kareena Kapoor. Actress Kareena looked exceptional when she gone for de-glam look and allowed herself to go with the flow of the emotions. Randeep Hooda beautifully utilized his less scope in the film. Madhur Bhandarkar film Heroine features tremendous elements of emotions like cheating lover, depression, manipulative friends, rising and then finally falling and slowly eclipsing in career.
Madhur explains the story of a shining star Mahi Arora (Kareena Kapoor) who seems to be slowly moving into dark side of the life, beautifully picturized her personal life and erratic mood swings. What Bhandarkar has presented Heroine having negative shades goes through the smooth and tough times in her life, rocks on a period of success and then goes through a typical tough phase only to stand on her feet again in a glamorous way. The film could easily be written off but for Kareena’s performance. Kareena delivers dynamic performance as bi-polar, erratic, insecure and vulnerable fading star. Kareena looked ravishing, glamorous and makes Mahi her own.
There are few scenes suggest that incidents lifted right out of Kareena’s life (there is an MMS scandal as well). This time around Bebo gets a meaty role and gives it her best shot to blossom. Arjun Rampal looked decent in his role, playboy Aryan Khanna puts out lovely performance. Randeep Hooda is charming in his role who play a cricketer madly in love with Mahi.
Goswami, Ranvir Shorey and Sanjay Suri had done their part well. Bebo moved well her curves in her hot item number ‘Halkat Jawaani’, made audience glue to the screens when she battling depression and popping pills, tough cookie attitude of a confident actress, Kareena makes Mahi awesome and lovable.
All in all, You have watched Raaz 3 for Bipasha Basu, now don’t miss this one for Kareena Kapoor.
Rating: Good – 3/5
