REVIEW
The film raises important questions regarding our tardy legal system and calls for a complete redressal, if justice must prevail.

It’s the beginning of the nightmare for this innocent Parag who giving a lift to the wrong person. Parag finds himself in police custody in Thane jail, despite his bewildered innocence. With Jail, Madhur not only makes you visit a prison, but also makes you peep into the psyche of a prisoner. Jail transports you to an unknown world that most of us haven’t seen. Instead reading a story here, one has also come to expect incredible performances in a Madhur Bhandarkar movie.
Raghuvir Shekhawat’s dialogues are awakening. There’s no scope for music in a film like Jail, but the three songs are smartly integrated in the storyline. Kalpesh Bhandarkar’s cinematography is top. Nitin Chandrakant Desai’s prison set, where the film is entirely shot is superb.Neil Nitin Mukesh deliver his finest performance to date and deserves all praise for his extraordinary portrayal. Mugdha Godse carries the non-glam look well. Manoj Bajpayee delevers memorable performance.
